Your donations over the years have been the fuel that keeps Smoky Mountain Meals on Wheels on the move and for this we are sincerely grateful. We hope you will choose to support us on our mission.
Most people are amazed when they learn that we operate with only partial funding from state and federal grants and the local Commission on Aging. How can we do this? Fortunately, our supporters in Blount County are the best and they recognize that we provide an important service to help keep our elderly citizens remain in their own homes as long as possible by bringing them nutritious meals. We also couldn’t do it without our 200+ volunteers who selflessly help prepare and deliver approximately 125,000 meals and another 2,400 bags of groceries a year.
Help us continue to nourish those who helped mold us, raise us, defend us and teach us, and who now need our help to maintain a good quality of life.
