The Blount  Community Action Agency, under which Smoky Mountain Meals on Wheels and  AniMeals operate, offers the additional following services:

Office on Aging
  Provides advocacy, information outreach, homemaker services, the Senior Service Directory and more. Click here for more info.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program
  Provides annual one-time assistance with home energy costs to eligible low-income.  Click here for more info.

Weatherization Assistance Program
   Makes energy efficiency improvements to homes of eligible low-income households to offset heating and cooling consumption. Click here for more info.

Commodity Food Program
  U. S. Department of Agriculture surplus foods are distributed to qualifying low income households four times each year. Click here for more info.

Smiles
    A membership program which provides a senior friendly,  door-through-door transportation program for Blount County residents who  are over age 60 and in need of rides for essential trips like medical  visits or to pick up groceries. Click here for more info.

Emergency Energy Assistance Program

Community Service Block Grant Program
   Provides a range of services and activities to eligible low-income  individuals and to achieve self-sufficiency and improve the conditions  of the communities in which they live. Click here for more info.
